Live Life Better
I want to make every day worth it, I want to go to sleep at the end of every day with a feeling of accomplishment and a smile on my face. And not just for the mere fact that I was able to make it through another day, no that is so minimal when I am capable of so much more. I am capable of creation, of goodness, of success. And I want to prove that, I want to continue to prove it.
So I have devised a method of influencing productivity and consistency: a five basic goals system. Add this concept to your daily routine and you will see difference. You will feel much more accomplished.
Five ideas for promoting productivity:
-Finish something (a book, a drawing, a chore, etc.)
-Create something (even just happiness in someone else)
-Do something healthy (make a homemade meal, go for a walk)
-Do a good deed (pick up litter, help someone, etc.)
-Organize something (your schedule, clutter, etc. structure and balance is important)
Forever Childhood
Adulting usually sucks, I love running around and using my imagination. Also the toy section at stores still is my favorite aisle.... Haha hey, I have no shame! smile emoticon I love action figures and posing them around lol I had a collection of figures from horror movies like Jason and Freddy Krueger. And I usually only watch cartoons, fuck 'reality tv' and all those obnoxious shows that dumb you down. The Rugrats and Scooby Doo is my shit. wink emoticon Like why the hell is some of the funnest stuff considered 'just for kids.' Mental stimulation is crucial, no wonder there's a lot of dumb boring people out there..

Hmmm *Prince Emile reads the ad as he holds it* Hey, I know! I'll throw a tea party and invite all the girls of the kingdom and whoever impresses me with the best dish can win a date with me!
Bon Bon: *Meows in agreement*
Prince Emile: *signs an invitation and folds it closed* There! That should be enough!
*Hands them to his butler* Make sure this gets to the post office by today.
Butler: *Nods head and takes off*
Next morning: Kirsten wakes up to a knock on the door. "Special delivery from the prince" She hears the postman yell out. "The prince? *she looks confused* Coming!" *she runs to open the door of the small little cottage she lives in*
Postman: *Hands her the letter* "It's for a royal tea party"
Kirsten: *Still confused* There must be a mistake! Are you sure this is for me?
Postman: The prince has set up a tea party inviting all the girls of the kingdom, your one requirement is to bring a dish that you cook yourself and if you can impress him you might win a date with him. Pretty lucky, huh? Well, I got to go now, good luck! *He takes off*
Kirsten: *Panics* Oh no, what will I make? And what will I wear?
~Meanwhile~
Camille: *Opens invitation and reads excitedly* Wow, I'm so excited! I know just what to make! *Runs to bake*
~Back at the castle~
*Camera pans in through fancy hallway and zooms in on the pianist, playing away.*
*Then the camera pans in on Prince Emile as he sits waiting at the table*
Prince Emile: They should be here soon.. It was kind of a last minute arrangement (he worries) *but just then Camille walks into the dining room area carring a delicious looking dessert and wearing a beautiful dress. "Oh wow.."
Camille: *Places her dish down on the table* Hello, Prince Emile. It's truly an honor to be in your prescence. Is it alright if I put this here?
Prince Emile: Yes, that's fine. And no need to feel intimidated, I am actually quite intimidated myself I must admit... You're very gorgeous.
Camille: Wow, thank you! *Camille blushes*
-Just then Kirsten walks in all shy looking, carrying some cupcakes and wearing these bland looking rags.
Kirsten: Hello Prince Emile, it's quite a privilige to be here in your honor. I brought these cupcakes.
Prince Emile: *Looks at Kirsten for a while and then smiles* Oh sure, just set them down on the table and have a seat. The appetizers should be here soon. Help yourself to some tea while you wait.
Kirsten: *sits down after placing cupcakes on table and speaks up quietly* Thank you.
Suddenly, two more nice dressed girls walk in carrying dishes and walk over to the table.
-From the corner: The Mice Sisters whisper to each other, peeking out from their mouse hole in the wall, "Mmm, looks like we'll be enjoying lots of yummy crumbs tonight sis.." (one mouse says to the other)
A strange girl walks in wearing a hood and looking suspicious, she quickly walks up to Prince Emile and stands there quietly.
Prince Emile: Um, can I help you? Did you come to the tea party? If so-
She suddenly takes out a wand and casts a spell on him and then quickly runs out before they can stop her.
Prince Emile has been transformed into a frog.
OR----
The sneaky little witch finds out about the tea party and knowing she doesn;t stand a chance with the prince with all those pretty girls she's competing with she decides to ruin the tea party instead and stop Prince Emile from finding his princess.
While Prince Emile is out collecting flowers, a strange woman comes out of nowhere and casts a curse on him.
"Oh no, what has happened to me?' he croaks.
"If I can't have you, then no one else will!" She quickly takes off.
Prince Emile hops inside and calls out for his butler "Sir
"You got cursed with the frog curse! The only way to break it is to have a true love's kiss. But Prince Emile, you don't even have a princess."
"That was the point of the tea party. But now, it'll be ruined.."
"You can still have the tea party, we can explain everything to them. And the girl you fall in love with can kiss you and break the curse."
"I don't think anyone wants to kiss slimy frog lips.." He sighs...
-That afternoon-
Prince Emile sits at the table waiting for his guests looking quite sad..
Just then Camille walks in carrying a delicious lookng dish and wearing a beautiful dress. She walks over to the table and notices the frog sitting there.
"Oh, Prince Emile has a pet frog?" She places her dish down on the table.
"I am Prince Emile," the frog responds, look at my crown. This morning I woke up and was out in my garden when this evil witch broke in and cast a curse on me."
"Oh dear.." Camille looks concerned, well that is quite unfortunate..

Eat Smart: Energizing Your Body Naturally
Sometimes all it takes is that spark of motivation, but sometimes you need help getting there; you need a little boost.
If you find yourself feeling unmotivated and tired throughout the day, then you may just need an energy boost. But you may also be lacking in a crucial area, such as getting a good night's sleep. So make sure to diagnose your situation carefully so you can target each problem.
Energize your body naturally~
Avoid those energy drinks for fueling energy. The effect is short lived and you just end up feeling even more tired and down than before. This is because energy drinks have high amounts of caffeine and sugar which travels quickly through your bloodstream which gives you a surge of energy with a short lifespan. The side effects can include: insomnia, irregular heart beats, seizures, and an increased rate of heart attacks. It's overall best to stay away from them. And make sure to not mix them with alcohol, it can be dangerous and it's better to be safe than sorry.
Adequate sleep is another essential for maintaining good energy levels, so make sure to get a good night's sleep so your body can recover and regenearte so you'll be feeling energized and attentive for the day.
We also get energy from the sun! So make sure to get your daily dose of sunlight, but don't forget that sun screen to protect you from those harmful UV rays.
But one of the most important ways to get healthy naturally is by consuming healthy foods. Foods have natural healing powers and many benefits, so be a smart cookie about it and choose the right ones.
Healthy energy boosting foods:
Whole grains: Your body's main source of fuel comes from carbohydrates, so it makes sense that whole grains (which contain carbs) are a great source for energy. Opt for healthy grains, like whole wheat pasta, brown rice, and quinoa.
-Water: This is the essential for life, we are made of water and we require water to live. But water also has a variety of health benefits that come along with it like helping maintain good energy levels. Water transports all of the nutrients in the blood that are used for energy. And it also helps carry/wash out the waste that builds up in our bodies that depletes our energy. It regulates body temperature and helps the body metabolize the food that is converted to energy. Therefore, it truly is an essential for many bodily functions and maintaining good health. It is recommended that people drink 8-10 cups every day.
Fruit: All fruit contains natural sugars that can help increase your energy levels. They also contain vital nutrients and vitamins that are essential to thrive, so in general they are necessary for consumption. They are high in antioxidants, contribute to lowering cholesterol, help keep digestion regular, lower your risk of high blood pressure and prevent strokes, as well as many other benefits for your body. You can also reap many benefits from aroma therapy (which I will go more into depth later), and citrus scents can actually help boost energy levels too. So if you're feeling low on energy, peel and orange and inhale the scent before consuming.
-Spicy herbs and peppers: Consuming peppers and foods seasoned with spicy herbs can actually speed up your metabolism with very few calories. It's great for weight loss and bossting your energy levels. They are also great mood lifters.
-Almonds (raw): Almonds contain monounsaturated fats that provide omega 3's and 6's, which help keep the mind alert. So if you need an energy boosting and help with concentration, perhaps you need to keep your mind on something specific like following through with your daily exercise routine, then almonds would be an ideal snack. They are a good source of both protein and healthy fats that help balance sugar levels. And on top of all of that, they can even reduce the risk of heart disease.
-Coffee: Coffee beans have a lot of health benefits, they are a natural source of caffeine which can increase the number of fatty acids in the bloodstream and give you an energy boost. Just make sure that the coffee you're drinking isn't packed with high amounts of sugar, because there is a lot of coffee out on the market that can actually prove to be more bad than good for you. Other bonus benefits include lowering the risk of Type 2 Diabetes, Alzheimers, and Parkinsons. It may also aid in weight loss and can even help fight off depression. However, remember that moderation is key, too much coffee can be harmful.
-Green vegetables: One cause of low energy may be depleted iron levels; green vegetables like broccoli, spinach, and other dark leafy greens are full of iron. They are a great source of many vital nutrients which can improve your overall health. So make sure to have your daily serving of vegetables.
-Dark chocolate: Chocolate, preferably dark (which is more beneficial), can actually help give you a good source of energy. The bioactive compounds, like tyramine and phenlethylamine, found in chocolate have been scientifically proven to elevating your energy levels. It can also improve longevity and help fight anemia. On the side of that, chocolate also has high amounts of cancer-fighting antioxidants. So all of you chocolate lovers out there have something to be proud about while eating chocolate.
-Oats: In addition to being high in fiber and vitamin B, oats are low on the glycemic index and can deliver a stream of energy to your body. These nutrients can help turn carbs into energy. So adding oats to your cookies and other potentially sugary foods can be a healthy addition. Having a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast can be a great way to start off your day energized. Opt to make your own fresh oats and enhance them by adding fresh fruit and raw honey.
-Eggs: The yolk in eggs are rich in Vitamins B and D. These vitamins help convert food into energy as well as contribute to maintaining strong bones. They have a high protein content and contain all of the 9 essential amino acids.Eggs also help build and repair body tissue and cells. They can help fight off infections and keep your body fluids in balance too. Eggs are overall a healthy addition to any meal, especially if you're looking to naturally boost your energy.
-Peanuts/Peanut butter
Remember, your health and how you feel is depended upon what you put into your body. As they say, "You are what you eat." So here at The Smart Cookie, we emphasize on eating healthy and making smart choices when it comes to food so that you can be your best.
So don't be a dumb donut, be a smart cookie and eat a smart meal that will actually benefit and help you get on the path to becoming a better you.

7-23-15
Today I made some homemade meals/snacks: my southern tuna recipe and mini pizzas on wheat buns with marinara sauce, pepper jack cheese, and pepperoni.
I played beauty salon with my sisters and gave their dolls, Nikki and Scarlett, make-overs. I also gave my dolls, Marina and Cindy, make-overs. They got their bodies washed with soap and olive oil (to soften their skin), they soaked in a small tub for a while. Then I washed their hair and put in conditioner and then let it sit in their hair for a few minutes before washing it out. Finally I put in some leave in conditioner and brushed their hair out. Nikki's hair is very damaged and required the most repairing, I was finally able to soften her hair and it showed significant results. I then gave her pigtail braids and dried/dressed all the dolls up.
I dug out some old stories/drawings I had made when I was younger and was reading them with my sisters. It inspired me to finish some of them and make a deviantart account again so I can add my artwork. I also want to do more arts and crafts stuff; draw pictures, make custom DIY stuff.
I talked to my friend Jason about spirits and ghosts, it was an interesting convo. I was telling him about Mononoke and how inanimate objects have their own kind of spirits.
Unfortuantely I didn't get much writing done, I kept getting distracted. Trying to work more on avoiding distractions and getting stuff done.
I got a new view on my The Smart Cookie page on Facebook. I should start adding to it soon, I'm just preparing posts, doing research on things I want to blog about.
I organized the desk area in my sisters room, cleared a spot for my laptop.

Making every day worth it
I want to make every day worth it, I want to go to sleep at the end of every night with a feeling of accomplishment and a smile on my face. And not just for the mere fact that I was able to make it through another day, no that is so minimal when I am capable of so much more. I am capable of creation, of goodness, of success. I want to prove that, I want to continue to prove it.
I have devised a method of influencing productivity. The 5 basic goals system, to promote productivity every day. Add this concept to your daily routine and you will see difference. You will feel much more accomplished. I want to go to bed feeling tired out, because then I'll know I got a lot done. It really is no pain no gain.
Check out my blog: modest-genius.blogspot.com for more information on this method!

I'll be your girlfriend and boyfriend...
Some days I feel like boy and others I feel like a girl, but most of the time I just feel like something in between. I want to live the best of both worlds....

~Late Night Ponderings~
Sitting around trying to compose poetry... Twirling strands of my blonde hair on my finger... Pen and paper at my disposal... Fireworks are heard from outside the window I'm sitting next to.... Creativity inspired.... I smile and write "Light me up and set me off, your love makes me burst alive like a firework in the sky....." Hey, it might be a little cheesy, but it's a simple way to symbolically represent something that's true.
Sometimes we need a spark, a motivation, an inspiration from the outside world.....
Bored with the radio..... Head in my hand..... "No One Knows" by Queens of the Stone Age comes on. I jump up, filled with sudden motivation to dance, and start jumping around head banging while playing air guitar.... I hop from one foot to another.... Switch back and forth from playing air guitar to invisible drums.... Dancing around like I'm coked up...... Music makes me feel alive, dancing makes me feel like part of the music, I become one with the mesmerizing sound as I move along to the rhythm and feel myself go into the flow..... Music is invigorating, it awakens passion within me..... It inspires and motivates me, it's like fuel for my energy and food for my soul.... ~
